Over the course of the last three years Seeta & Ian have been working together in different guises, from different perspectives, sharing a discourse and debating ideas of classicism, gender and how dance in the UK operates. This opportunity to open up what is normally private conversation between two people is a chance to speak candidly about dance, women and missing the point.

The BENCH – Presented by 2Faced Dance Company in partnership with International Dance Festival Birmingham (IDFB), The BENCH Event will reflect on, debate and discuss the issue of gender disparity for female choreographers working in the UK’s contemporary dance sector.
