RUDRA reverberates through the universe…a powerful force in the shape of Shiva that destroys evil and restores balance, this performance echoes the cycle of peace, disturbance, love and lament.

Rudra is an ancient Sansrit word, which loosely translates as “heightened emotion”.  Manasamitra resurrects ancient Indian mythology with an exciting fusion of contemporary music and dance. Choreographer Sonia Sabri, working in contemporary Kathak brings together four regional dancers with contemporary and Indian dance backgrounds to create RUDRA.

Shri Sriram has created an original soundtrack comprising flute, bass, violin and percussion in his own signature east-west-world electronica style. Combined with energetic dancing and subtle set design, this rich narrative is re-imagined and offers audiences a new experience in Indian arts.
