GemArts presents Anu-bhaava, a breathtaking Kuchipudi performance by Payal Ramchandani. This Classical Indian dance originating from Andhra Pradesh, is now popular all over South India, and has developed from a purely male dance form to one performed with exquisite and distinct style by both male and female dancers.

Payal began her award winning journey as a Kuchipudi dancer when she was four years old, and since then has continued striving towards perfection and excellence with dedication and unstinted support and guidance from her renowned Padmashri (teachers) Guru Jayarama Rao and Vanashree Rao. A true proponent of this beautiful dance form, Payal has performed in festivals both in India and abroad, and also teaches younger generations through workshops and demonstrations.

GemArts and Payal will deliver Kuchipudi dance classes in Newcastle from October. For more information contact GemArts info@gemarts.org.
