The Arts Council invests in a diverse range of dance and this is reflected in the clients in the Midlands. It is home to internationally recognised companies, a strong network of venues and festivals and dance development organisations.

There is now a vacancy, on a job-share basis, for a Relationship Manager, Dance in Arts Council England’s Midlands team. Candidates should be able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge and experience of dance.

The role will involve managing client relationships and performance monitoring of dance organisations and will also involve supporting the development of the sector, particularly through the use of Grants for the arts and other funding schemes. As a Relationship Manager for the Arts Council, you will also be expected to engage with a broad range of non-dance specific issues, including touring, children and young people, diversity and equality, engagement and learning. You will be a confident communicator with a range of constituencies and have good analytical skills.

Candidates will be expected to evidence professional arts experience and to demonstrate an up-to-date knowledge of England’s cultural sector, arts policy and the wider international context.
